Workshop- works by Matt Klos
October 1st- 30th
“Making paintings from the objects in my studio and the various lights that pervade it is an endless and enjoyable puzzle. My paintings are formalist constructions but the arrangements of objects I paint are often found, rather than arranged. My paintings are of old jars and archaic household objects. Dust often obscures these objects and even when the objects are clearly defined their original purposes may be unintelligible to our generation. In an age when so many answers are at our fingertips through computers and smartphones, I marvel at this disconnection with our recent past.”
One Hundred and Twenty

Alyssa Young- A Look Within
March 1st- 31st
Young merges the abstract and the illustrative, the defined and the whimsical in a flow of ink and paint. The vibrant, layered, and latent compositions find themselves constrained to loose boundaries, while pressing outward and forward to engage each viewer. The mixed media works of engaging icons and mark-making demand close attention in the intimate space assigned for pensive discoveries.
